"A.B.G" is a comedic short film created by UCLA TFT graduate student Jazmyne Black. The film offers a lighthearted yet insightful look at the life of a young Black woman, navigates social awkwardness and cultural identity.
As the production designer, I was responsible for designing the protagonist's bedroom, a key setting that reflects her unique personality and style. The director envisioned a space that was quirky, vibrant, and distinctly Gen Z, with bold choices and a strong sense of color coordination. To achieve this, I transformed a soundstage into a dynamic bedroom environment that felt authentically lived-in. The room featured custom paint colors on the walls and floors that harmonized with the bedding and decor, creating a cohesive and visually striking look. A hand-painted headboard added a touch of girlish wonder
